Home-Grown Local Family Farm

Hakenah and Al Hulitt! A husband and wife duo committed to providing and educating their local community about sustainability while providing fresh and healthy equitable produce options. Hakenah and Al began their farming journey in 2021. Al grew up with a grandfather in the south who also was a farmer and instilled the values of providing and will power to make something out of nothing into his children and grandchildren. Hakenah’s grandmother managed a community garden that many people in the city neighborhood depended on for access to fresh vegetables. The values of helping and service to her community carried on into her granddaughter who now continues to carry on that Legacy. Hakenah and Al have two sons that assist on the farm that are being raised under the same values that their parents were taught in an effort to carry on these generational values.
